Hodgson signs with Mars Hill

The Fieldhouse Pirates are proud to announce that OF Tanner Hodgson (Burlington, ON) has officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Mars Hill University (NCAA D2) in Mars Hill, North Carolina.

Hodgson, a four-year member of the Pirates, is expected to be in the outfield for the 18U Pirates team this summer. This past year, the Lions finished with a 21-26-1 overall record. Hodgson will compete for a starting job in the Mars Hill outfield.

NIACC signs pair of Pirates

The Fieldhouse Pirates are proud to announce that RHP Lucas Gilbert (Belleville, ON) and OF Francesco Barbieri (Brampton, ON), have both officially signed their National Letter of Intent to play for North Iowa Area CC (NJCAA D2) in Mason City, Iowa.

Gilbert is in his first year with the Pirates, and is expected to log significant innings for the 18U Pirates, while Barbieri locks down the outfield.

Competing in the Region 11 conference, the Trojans have a standing history of sending players off to exceptional four-year programs. So far in 2018, the Trojans have had players sign with TCU, Dallas Baptist, North Carolina, Cincinnati, and more. NIACC finished the 2018 season with a 37-20-1 record, including wins of Iowa Western, Tyler, and Crowder.

Nolin signs with Oakland U

The Fieldhouse Pirates are proud to announce that LHP Matt Nolin (Mississauga, ON) has officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Oakland University (NCAA D1) in Rochester, Michigan. Nolin, a four-year member of the Pirates, is once again expected to anchor the Pirates 18U rotation this year.

Competing in the Horizon League, the Golden Grizzlies finished the 2018 campaign with .a 12-14 conference record. Nolin is expected to compete for a rotation spot upon setting foot on campus this coming Fall.

Cameron signs with Niagara

The Fieldhouse Pirates are proud to announce that RHP/3B Zach Cameron (Hamilton, ON) has officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Niagara University (NCAA D1) in Lewiston, New York. Cameron, a member of the Pirates for the past three years, will be heavily relied on for the 18U Pirates as a rotation arm, as well as manning third base.

Competing in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the Purple Eagles continue to load up on Canadian talent. Cameron, who can play on both sides of the ball, will compete for a job at third base, while also getting the opportunity to pitch out of the bullpen at Niagara.

Evans signs with Elon

The Fieldhouse Pirates are proud to announce that RHP Ian Evans (Lockport, NY) has officially signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Elon University (NCAA D1) in Elon, North Carolina. Evans crossed the border to join the Pirates this Fall, and is expected to make an immediate impact as a rotation arm for the 18U Pirates.

Competing in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), the Phoenix finished second in their conference following a 16-8 conference record, and 36-23 overall mark. Evans is expected to fight for a rotation job once he steps on campus next Fall.
